How to get to IARC
The nearest metro station is "Stade Gerland – Le Lou" (line B)

  • Take metro line B at Gare Part-Dieu Vivier Merle station – direction “Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud” and get off at “Stade de Gerland – Le Lou”
  • Take the exit ‘Square Galtier’, then follow the exit ’Rue Marcel Mérieux’
  • Take the stairs to the left, then turn right and walk on Tony Garnier Avenue for 200 meters.
  • The bus which stops directly in front of the Nouveau Centre is bus n°60 "Stade de Gerland". 
  • The T1 tram "ENS Lyon" stop is a few blocks from the building.
  • The T6 tram, from the east of Lyon, stops at the "Debourg" station.

 Several VELOV stations are located near the Nouveau Centre.

How to get to IARC from Lyon airport

The shuttle is called “Rhône Express” and will bring you from Lyon St Exupéry Airport up to Lyon Part-Dieu train station.

At Lyon airport, follow the red signs “Rhône Express” to find the departure. There are a few ticket machines on the shuttle platform where you can buy your ticket by credit card. Tickets can also be bought online and are slightly cheaper.

A ticket costs 15.70€ (single) or 26.70€ (return).

  • Take the Rhône Express shuttle, direction ‘Lyon Part-Dieu’.
    Get off at the terminus (Lyon Part-Dieu) 
  • Walk to the Gare Part-Dieu V. Merle station (7-min walk) 
  • Take Metro line B direction ‘Saint-Genis-Laval Hôpital Lyon Sud
  • Get off at the ‘Stade de Gerland – Le Lou’ stop.

A taxi journey from the airport to IARC or city center is approximately 30 minutes, more in rush hours, and costs about 50€.

 

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that, due to ongoing tram line construction, pedestrian access to the ‘Visitors entrance’ of IARC/CIRC is currently only possible from the direction of the nearest metro station (Stade de Gerland - Le Lou). 

If coming from the other direction, please approach from the opposite sidewalk, pass the building, and cross back to reach the entrance.
